Hola,
Here's the original studio version of "The Bird" performed by Prince (all instruments) Morris Day on Lead Vocals!

Prince called for me to come out to his pad late one Wednesday night in the cold of the winter around 11:30pm. He stated that the song I had given him, he reworked and Morris would be there as well. So I drive there in the middle of the night (cause I ain't stupid and I'm trying to get on) after arriving at P's crib, only then do I find out the song is already recorded. I had nothing to say, because the track I gave him was a joke compared to what he came up with. He absolutely killed the track, and all I could say was "Damn Dude"!

Now here's where the shit gets funny. Prince's Ampex 1100 24 track machine starts tripping and will not rewind, so ask me to rewind the machine by hand and Morris is laughing his ass off, and course I'm like "Man fuck that, you be better call Don Batts (his tech) to fix that shit!" Prince is now cracking up. We have to finish the song, so I go "WTF" and start rewinding the machine by hand. P could see what I was doing so I had a drum stick on the reel where the holes are rewinding the machine, by the time Prince sees what I'm doing, he yells "what f**k are you doing Jesse?" Rewinding this raggedy ass machine, I said, as he jumps up to come look at the tape to see if I damaged it in anyway he sort of trips over Morris who has this long ass q-tip type things that are made for sticking in a solution and cleaning your tape heads, so before he could reach me he's yelling Morris to stop using his tape head cleaners to clean his ears! Now I'm on floor, because Morris would always do that and Prince had told him a thousand times before not to! Needless to say we got the track finished and the rest is history.

The three of us together were always cracking the hell up, but it was really Morris who was absolutely funny as hell and he and Prince would have me crying with the interaction between the yow of them. They were absolutely great together and did some seriously great music together. For me as the "Original Outsider", I always felt fortunate to have been invited to be a part of the greatness.

GREATEST HITS COLLECTION PRINCE 4EVER ARRIVES ON NOVEMBER 22

REMASTERED, DELUXE VERSION OF PURPLE RAIN DUE IN EARLY 2017

October 21, 2016 (Burbank, CA) - Today, NPG Records and Warner Bros. Records announced two new Prince releases that will celebrate the iconic artist's music and introduce fans to previously unreleased material from his legendary vault. This will mark the first Prince recordings released since his passing on April 21st of this year.

Released on November 22nd in the U.S. and November 25th around the world, Prince 4Ever will bring together 40 of Prince's best-loved songs, including the blockbuster hits When Doves Cry, Let's Go Crazy, Kiss, Little Red Corvette, Purple Rain, Raspberry Beret, Sign 'O' The Times, Alphabet St., Batdance, Cream, and The Most Beautiful Girl in the World.

Prince 4Ever includes Moonbeam Levels - a previously unreleased song originally recorded in 1982 during the 1999 sessions and later considered for the never released Rave Unto The Joy Fantastic album. (Actually, it was release. Sic.-Dr.Funk) Prince 4Ever will also arrive with a 12-page booklet of never-before-seen photos by acclaimed photographer Herb Ritts.

In addition, early next year will see the release of the much-anticipated remastered, deluxe version of Purple Rain, plans for which were agreed with Prince before he passed away. The remaster of the classic Purple Rain will arrive with a second album of previously unreleased material. More details will be revealed closer to the release date.

Rehearsal

Even more musicians are being added to an already impressive lineup for the Official Prince Tribute show in St. Paul Thursday.

In mid-September, Stevie Wonder, Chaka Khan, Christina Aguilera and John Mayer were announced as some of the stars who will participate in the tribute concert. Minnesota’s Mint Condition, NPG and 3rdEyedGirl were also amongst the slated performers, along with Morris Day and the Time, Tori Kelly, Anita Baker, Doug E. Fresh, Luke James, Bilal, Judith Hill and Liv Warfield.

Then, on Tuesday, officials with the event announced even more additions:

• X Factor judge and former Pussycat Doll, Nicole Scherzinger, who penned an emotional tribute to the artist upon his death, saying “I will remember him as my dear friend, a brother, mentor and my inspiration”
• Prince ex-wife, dancer Mayte Garcia along with Maya and Nandy McClean, also known as The Twinz who toured the globe with Prince for over seven years
• Internationally recognized Portuguese Fado singer Ana Moura, who Prince regularly featured in his international performances
• Many generations of the New Power Generation including the world class singers and musicians Marva King, Shelby J, Elisa Fiorello Dease and Kip Blackshire
• Saxophonist Michael Phillips, the only musician in the world to have recorded and toured with the legendary “Big Three” of American soul music: Stevie Wonder, Michael Jackson and Prince
• Prince’s childhood best friend and former bandmate, André Cymone
• DJ Dudley, the touring DJ for Prince and The New Power Generation

Officials say fans are encouraged to gather at Xcel Energy Center beginning at 4 p.m. for an outdoor preshow party on Kellogg Boulevard between Gates 1 and 2.

Prince wasn’t a tall man but he was always big in stature — especially on stage.

His signature high-heels helped — literally.

Randy Paige reports that Prince was much more than a music icon. Prince also set fashion trends as the prince of style.

The jackets, pants, the ensembles. And the shoes.

Since the beginning of the 80s, the shoes were designed and made on Sunset Boulevard — at Andre No. 1.

The owner told Paige that nearly all of Prince’s 3,000 pairs of shoes are identical — with the exception of color.

Each pair had to match the fabric and color of the clothes he was wearing.

“The only thing he would change about his shoes were either it would be a wood heel or the same material would cover the heel or he would have a Lucite heel that flashes lights,” said Gary Kazanchyan.

“He wanted the shoes to be as light as possible and also as durable as possible because you never know when hes going to start doing splits,” said Kazanchyan.

That’s why the brace was made of stainless steel — it’s light and strong.

When Kazanchyan went to see Prince perform, and to see his handcrafted shoes in action — one thought wouldn’t leave his mind.

“Every time he was jumping up to do the splits I was holding my breath — I was hoping the heel didn’t break off,” he said.

Andre #1 is the shoemaker to the stars. Inside the shoe boxes, 3D scans of each celebrity client’s feet.

A single pair costs $2,400.

Kazanchyan says Prince was one of his most treasured clients and he was honored that he loved his shoes so much. He literally wore them morning, noon and night — on stage and off.

Another challenge — each pair could not be made of any animal products. Prince was a vegan.

Prince est mort d’une overdose de Fentanyl

Prince est mort des suites d’une overdose de fentanyl, un puissant médicament antidouleur opiacé, rapporte le bureau du médecin légiste du Midwest dans un communiqué publié jeudi.

Décrit comme 50 fois plus puissant que l’héroïne, le fentanyl est le plus souvent prescrit pour des patients atteints d’un cancer ou souffrant de douleurs chroniques. Selon plusieurs témoignages de proches, Prince souffrait de douleurs permanentes à la hanche. Le rapport du médecin légiste indique la présence de cicatrices à la hanche gauche et au bas de la jambe droite.

D’après le rapport, Prince s’est administré lui-même le médicament, mais la date à laquelle il se l’est administré reste inconnue. Des questions demeurent sur la manière dont le chanteur s’est procuré ce puissant médicament responsable de nombreux cas d’overdoses aux États-Unis ces derniers mois.

Un jour avant sa mort, l’entourage de Prince avait fait appel à Howard Kornfeld, un docteur spécialiste des dépendances basé en Californie.

Dans l’impossibilité de se rendre immédiatement sur place, le docteur avait envoyé son fils Andrew avec une petite quantité de buprénorphine, un médicament utilisé pour le traitement de la dépendance à l’opiacé.

Arrivé à Paisley Park le lendemain matin, c’est lui qui a découvert le corps du chanteur dans un ascenseur du complexe avec des membres de son staff.

Selon les autorités, Prince a été vu pour la dernière fois à 20 heures le 20 avril lorsque que quelqu’un l’a déposé à Paisley Park. Apparemment ce soir là, le musicien est resté seul, sans employés, ni personnel de sécurité.

“Prince était une personne très privée” a déclaré Jim Olson, le shérif du comté de Carver. “Je ne pense pas qu’il était inhabituel pour lui d’être seul.”

Six jours avant sa mort, Prince a donné deux concerts de suite au Fox Theatre d’Atlanta. Bien qu’il ne sentait pas très bien, le musicien avait dit au promoteur du concert qu’il allait tout donner.

“Après le concert, je savais qu’il était fatigué” a déclaré Lucy Freas qui dirige la salle de concert, “parce que d’habitude, il donne une afterparty et il n’en a pas donné. Il voulait directement rentrer à la maison, alors il est parti le soir même”.

Après ses deux concerts, Prince a quitté les lieux peu avant minuit pour prendre son jet privé et rentrer chez lui dans le Minnesota. Mais juste après une heure du matin, son avion a du atterrir d’urgence à Moline, dans l’Illinois. Selon un agent de l’aéroport, Prince était inconscient.

Les pompiers et les ambulanciers ont traité le chanteur pendant 18 minutes sur le tarmac avant de le conduire à l’hôpital où il est resté quelques heures avant de rentrer chez lui.

Quand vous allez écouter ces répétitions, je suis sûr qu'elles tourneront en boucle pendant un bon bout de temps !!! C'est positivement déconcertant !!! Vous vous demandez pourquoi jouer Purple Rain pendant 20 minutes (sans critique aucune évidemment) alors que Mr Prince ne pourrait faire un concert de 70 minutes qu'avec cette setlist.

Vous aimiez les récentes performances de Something In The Water (Does Not Compute)... vous allez les oublier !! Bodyheat est une tuerie !! Ah ben tiens... Strange Relationship déjà entièrement enregistré (?!!!) High Fashion au complet... et enfin un Groove In A complètement déroutant !!!

Ah oui, il fallait que je le rajoute aussi...

C'est du SOUNDBOARD !!!!
